Recently, the Department of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Aalesund University College (AAUC) has been granted with an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching and Training project which aims to establish a teaching exchange program with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (UASUA).
I am especially thankful to Professor Webjørn Rekdalsbakken, Department of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Aalesund University College. He gave me the chance to teach Real time computer programming together with Girts Strazdins and with Ivar Blindheim. I really enjoyed this experience. During the last year course in Real Time Systems, our students focused on several challenges that currently affect the filed of maritime applications and related industry. In the following, an overview of the
In 2011, when I started assisting Professor Houxiang Zhang in teaching the Mechatronics course at Aalesund University College (AAUC), I proposed a new idea which, at that time, I was not totally aware of its power. I proposed to introduce the use of Open Hardware and Open software platforms for teaching. Professor Zhang supported my idea. It was the beginning of a small revolution.
This is another student project at Aalesund University College, Mechatronics course (Spring semester 2012). The main idea of this project consists in developing a modular snake robot capable of grasping objects. The initial mockup of the project is described in the figure below.
This is another student project at Aalesund University College, Mechatronics course (Spring semester 2012). The main idea of this project consists of developing a modular "H"-shaped four-legged robot. The robot should have the pose and locomotion capabilities of standing, crawling, turning, and lateral crawling, ... The initial mockup of the project is described in the figure below.
This is another student project at Aalesund University College, Mechatronics course (Spring semester 2012). The main idea of this project consists of developing a modular five-limbed robot. The goal is to develop a versatile robotic mobile platform featuring an easy-to-build mechanical structure, various locomotion capabilities and high manipulation flexibility. The initial mockup of the project is described in the image below.
