I am honoured to represent IEEE Norway Section at the IEEE R8 Conference Leadership Workshop, held in Palermo (Italy), on 13 June 2022.
I was honoured to represent Norway at the IEEE Region 8 Committee Meeting March 21, 2020 - Virtual Event. IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The meeting was originally planned to be held in Warsaw, Poland, but because of the pandemic, it was decided to have a WebEx instead. We are facing challenging times. But as always, there are opportunities to learn and move forward together.
The results for the 2019 elections of IEEE Norway Section are out. The new elected board is: Chair: Filippo Sanfilippo (61.1% of valid votes) Vice-Chair: Jianhua Zhang (56.0% of valid votes) Secretary: Azam Seyedi (66.7% of valid votes) Treasurer: Jenny Olsson (100% of valid votes)
As you may know, the IEEE Norway Section is now approaching for voting. Voting will start from Dec. 1st 2019 and close at Dec 15th 2019. For the health of our section, I really encourage you to take the time to exercise your vote to choose our future.
It is a great pleasure and a true honour for me to communicate that I have been awarded a research scholarship from the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) Scholarship program with regards to my PhD studies. OES awards only eight scholarships a year to deserving researchers across the world. The committee has officially announced the award with the following words: "Dear Filippo, Thank you for your interest and application to the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) Scholarship program.
I am very glad to announce that I have been elected as Membership Development Officer for the IEEE Norway Section. I would like to express my greatest gratitude for all the IEEE members that supported me throughout the election. I pledge to work with you to improve IEEE, globally and locally, and to increase value for each member.
