Day 2 - Black & White photo challenge. I was nominated by Anniken Karlsen and now I nominate Mónica Marchant to post a black & white photo for 5 days and nominate a person each day to do the same - just for fun! This is my second photo, it was taken at the laboratory of Kuka College in Sweden. In this photo, the calibration process for a Kuka robot is shown.

You can watch a live broadcast here! Today, October, 8, at 11.30 AM in Norway, the moon will pass behind the center of Earth’s shadow and turn a rusty red color. Most people probably won’t be able to see this total lunar eclipse, because it will occur mainly over the Pacific Ocean. But don’t worry. You can watch a live broadcast here!
Rainbow over Ålesund, Norway. Enjoy the colourful photos I took.
Please watch in HD with good speakers for the optimal experience.
Last summer I attended two conferences in China. The 2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), in Hailar and the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), in Tianjin. On my way to Tianjin, I took this amazing super fast train. The train is able to reach speed peaks of about 400 km/h. And it makes almost no noise, at all! Enjoy the video :)

In 2011, when I started assisting Professor Houxiang Zhang in teaching the Mechatronics course at Aalesund University College (AAUC), I proposed a new idea which, at that time, I was not totally aware of its power. I proposed to introduce the use of Open Hardware and Open software platforms for teaching. Professor Zhang supported my idea. It was the beginning of a small revolution.
Here some shots taken during the last storm in Ålesund by using long exposure photography.
