Day 4 - Black & White photo challenge

Day 4 - Black & White photo challenge. I was nominated by Anniken Karlsen and now I nominate Tommy Hongyang Yu to post a black & white photo for 5 days and nominate a person each day to do the same - just for fun! This is my fourth photo, I took this shoot last summer in Hailar, Inner Mongolia. This shoot was taken at the Mongolian Yurt Reception organised for the IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA2014).

High Speed Rail (Bullet Train) from Tianjin to Beijing

Last summer I attended two conferences in China. The 2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), in Hailar and the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), in Tianjin. On my way to Tianjin, I took this amazing super fast train. The train is able to reach speed peaks of about 400 km/h. And it makes almost no noise, at all! Enjoy the video :)

Best student Paper at the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA)

I am very glad to announce that today one my last scientific papers has been awarded as "Best Student Paper" at the Proceedings of the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), Hailar, China. The title of the paper is: "JOpenShowVar: an Open-Source Cross-Platform Communication Interface to Kuka Robots". I thank all my co-authors (L. I. Hatledal, M. Fago, K. Y. Pettersen and H. Zhang) and I congratulate all of them for their important contribution.

My travel map for the Summer 2014

This summer I will be travelling around the world.
