SimHaptics has been accepted for publication at IECON2015

A new paper has been accepted for publication in the Proc. of the 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IECON) to be held in Yokohama, Japan, November 9 – 12, 2015. The selected article is:

IEEE CCECE 2015 Technical Tour

On behalf of Aalesund University College, I recently attended the IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2015), Halifax, Canada. I joined the conference in order to present the following article: Filippo Sanfilippo, Lars Ivar Hatledal, Houxiang Zhang, Webjørn Rekdalsbakken and Kristin Ytterstad Pettersen. A Wave Simulator and Active Heave Compensation Framework for Demanding Offshore Crane Operations. I also had the opportunity to join the Technical Tour organised by the conference committee. The tour included the following places:

  • Dalhousie University Ocean Sciences Bldg (this is a new, state-of-the-art building);
  • Bedford Institute of Oceanography;
  • Survival Systems Training Ltd.

AAUC representative met Dr. Amir Aghdam, IEEE Canada President

On behalf of Aalesund University College, it was my pleasure to meet Dr. Amir Aghdam, IEEE Canada President, at the IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2015), Halifax, Canada.

Dr. Amir Aghdam held a very inspirational speech during the conference and he was also in the committee of the ocean paper poster competition.
