Aalesund University College at BioRob2014

I am very glad to represent Aalesund University College at the Proceedings of the 5th IEEE RAS/EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (BioRob2014), here in São Paulo, Brazil. My presentation will be on Friday, August 15 and I am really looking forward to present ModGrasp.

I had the chance to meet several colleagues from different countries and some of the speeches, here, are very inspiring.

Beside, people, here, are very friendly and the Brazilian cuisine is amazing! "Churrasco com queijo", "Mortadela sanduiche" and many other typical dishes are really good!

São Paulo is a really nice city and there are several places I have been to and enjoyed, such as Avenida Paulista that is the financial hub of Sao Paulo and also the place where to go and enjoy the nightlife, Liberdade that is home to a large number of Japanese (the largest single group outside of Japan), the Catedral with a mix of Neoclassical and Baroque façade that hides some Gothic details, the Sao Bento Basilica that features an impressive architecture and an organ that houses 6000 sound pipes, the Teatro Municipal that is the São Paulo opera house and was modelled after Opéra Garnier in Paris, the Praças and so on.

In addition, the Portuguese language sounds really intuitive to me, perhaps because of the similarities with my mother tongue. So, it is quite easy to communicate with locals.

I am collecting a lot of nice memories :)
